PROJECT: Sidi Krir Thermal Power Plant

Located approximately 30km to the west of Alexandria, on a site in excess of 700,000m2, the Sidi Krir Thermal Power Station provides power to northern Egypt. Initially operating with two 320 MW gas/oil fired units, the site is expanded to contain two similar units to be run on a BOT basis.

Our involvement included the preliminary design and detailed design for the ancillary buildings, including; administrative buildings, security facilities, catering building, warehouse and maintenance building, fire station, garages and petrol station.

Our services also included:

  • Detailed design of all the underground piping networks
  • Structural steel connections design for all steel buildings
  • Architectural design of precast concrete panels
  • Electrical design for lighting, power and communication outlets of all the plant's buildings
