PROJECT: Luxor International Airport

2001-2005

Luxor International Airport was upgraded in 2005 to accommodate up to 8 million passengers per annum in recognition of the increasing tourist market in the region. The terminal now operates 48 check-in desks, 8 boarding gates and 5 baggage reclaim belts.

In developing the airport the following services required upgrading:

  • Airport power station and airport-wide electrical supply
  • Telecommunications
  • Foul water system
  • Fire fighting systems
  • Pumping stations
  • Underground reservoir
  • Air conditioning systems

Providing extensive engineering design and site supervision services throughout the Luxor Airport Development project the following services were provided:

  • Electrical engineering
  • Mechanical engineering
  • Drainage expertise
  • Architectural services
  • Soil investigation surveys
